Coristine Law is a criminal defence and family law firm based in North York, serving clients throughout Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area. The firm helps individuals and families navigate challenging legal situations through clear guidance, personalized strategies and dedicated advocacy.
Led by founding partner and senior counsel Michael Coristine, the firm draws on his decade of experience as a Crown Attorney in Toronto. His background in prosecuting complex criminal cases brings an informed perspective to defence work, while his courtroom and negotiation experience also supports clients facing contentious family law matters.
The firm’s criminal defence practice covers a broad range of matters, including bail hearings, impaired driving, assault, fraud and youth offences. It was a beautiful day for a drive through Toronto as I headed to Coristine Law’s office at 2225 Sheppard Avenue East in North York. The building’s reflective blue-green glass made a striking setting for the visit, and meeting the team was a pleasure. Everyone was friendly, polite and kind, making it an enjoyable session from start to finish.
Our entire studio came upstairs in just two elevator trips. Their boardroom had plenty of personality, with bright blue chairs and eye-catching shark artwork on the wall. I helped rearrange the furniture to make room for our lighting and backdrop, turning the modestly sized meeting room into a professional headshot studio. It’s a good example of how we can adapt to an existing office space and bring the photography session directly to your team.
For the portraits, we used a high-key style against a solid white background. This bright, clean approach keeps the focus on each person’s expression while giving the team a consistent, professional look. It’s a versatile choice for staff pages, professional profiles and marketing materials, helping a business present its people with a cohesive style.
After the session, I helped put the furniture back and reset the boardroom, leaving their space as nice as it was when I arrived. Looking after your workplace is part of the service, from making room for the first photograph to restoring the room when we’re finished.
